Ministries

Amigos de Jesus (SP)-- Nosotros reunimos a los niños entre las edades de 5 a 13 años para dar seguimiento a la educación cristiana, mientras sus padre participan de algun otro ministerio. Los niños se mantienen ocupados constructivamente, reforzando la catéquesis, mientras sus padres se enriquecen espiritualmente.

Bible Study -- Once-weekly sessions of about 1 hour and 30 minutes dealing with different Bible readings, which change from year to year. Each session begins with prayer, greetings among the participants, a summary of what we are doing, a DVD presentation of the particular gospels under study and then a question and answer session to follow.

Caridad (SP) --

Coffee & Donuts – To encourage friendship and community, coffee and donuts are served after the Sunday Masses.

Charismatic Prayer Group --

Coro St. Agnes (SP) -- Fundado en el año 2003. Este grupo actualmente consta de 29 miembros de ambos géneros. Se ensaya el segundo y cuarto jueves de mes. Para inscripciones durante todo el año comuníquese con la Sra. Laura H. Padilla.

Edad de Oro / Golden Years (SP) -- is a social event for ladies and gentlemen 60+.  We meet the second Wednesday of each month at St Elizabeth Center behind the church from 11:am till 1:30pm, the cost is $5.00 to cover food, desert, drinks and paper goods. It is announced on the bulletin. We get together with parishioners from St Peter's & St Elizabeth churches, we talk, make friends, have a pleasant time, and have good spanish lunch. "We are a joyful group of seniors."

Enriquecimiento Matrimonial (SP) -- Es para que los Matrimonios de nuestra Parroquia tengan un espacio donde puedan compartir sus experiencias, vivencias, testimonios e ilusiones en un ambiente sano y de fraternidad donde el Sacramento del Matrimonio sea el fundamento de nuestra relación como pareja.

Eucharistic Ministers -- Eucharistic Ministers assist with the distribution of the Eucharist within the Liturgy of the Mass and bring Communion to the homebound and hospitalized members of our Parish.

Faith Formation –

Homebound & Hospitalized Visitation – Volunteers make visits to parishioners who are homebound or hospitalized.  Eucharistic Ministers bring Communion if requested.  Parishioners confined to the home or hospital may arrange a visit by contacting the parish office. Patient confidentiality rules prevent us from being notified by the hospital, so please notify us to request a visit at home or the hospital.

Ladies of St. Agnes – Strive to serve as catalysts to build a sense of family and community.  We help the parish with fundraisers and assist the parish staff and priests in any way possible.  We welcome all ladies of the parish to join and help in our endeavors.

Lectors – Trained to proclaim the Word of God, pray the general intercessions and read the announcements at Parish liturgies.

Men's Softball Team –

Ministerio de Familias / Spanish Family Ministry (SP) -- Tiene como principal objetivo ayudar a las familias para convertirse en mejores familias, mejores padres y niños. Basado en el amor, el servicio y el compartir que nuestro Señor Jesucristo nos enseña. Animamos a nuestros miembros para servir y compartir sus talentos con la comunidad. Organizamos varios eventos como: Repartición de víveres para el día de acción de gracias, juguetes por sonrisas en Navidad y muchos más con la intención de llevar esperanza y amor a personas necesidades de nuestra comunidad y otras comunidades.

Mujeres Católicas (SP) -- En nuestras reuniones tenemos una  lugar para entregar las cargas al Señor, para recibir fortaleza de Dios, para disfrutar de su hermosa presencia, es donde se descubren los dones  porque  se recibe AMOR. La reuniones se llevan a cabo el segundo lunes del mes  a las 7pm en la capilla.

Mujeres de Emaús (SP) -- El ministerio Mujeres EMAÚS es una COMUNIDAD de hermanas, quienes después de un encuentro personal con Jesús resucitado, hemos decidido seguirle, servirle en su Iglesia, y ser agentes de cambio y transformación del mundo a uno más espiritual.

Music Ministry – Singers and instrumentalists use their talents to encourage sung participation of the assembly.  Ensembles include the Adult Choir, Youth Choir, and Adult and Youth Cantors.  Our Music Coordinator would welcome inquiries about sharing your talent. Choir Registration Form

New Parishioner Welcoming –

Oración Centrante (SP) -- La oración Centrante, oración en silencio, es la apertura de la mente y el corazón - todo nuestro ser - a Dios, el Gran Misterio, más allá de todo pensamiento, palabra o emoción. Abrimos nuestra percepción a Dios quien sabemos por la fé está dentro de nosotros, más cerca que el aliento, el pensamiento, más cerca que la conciencia misma. La oración Contemplativa es un proceso de transformación interior, que nos lleva si nosotros consentimos a la Unión Divina.

Padres y Madres Orantes (SP) -- Somos un grupo llenos de amor por Dios y por sus familias donde nos reunimos una vez al mes en una Hora Santa donde alabamos, adoramos a Dios y  hacemos oraciones de reparacion y peticion a Jesús Eucaristía, por la salvacion de los hijos. Pedimos tambien por la union de las familias, por el Papa y la jerarquía de la Iglesia y en especial por los Sacerdotes de la parroquia. En esta Hora Santa, además de estar pidiendo por nuestros hijos, todos los participantes aprendemos a abrir nuestros corazones y llegar a ver y sentir a un Dios VIVO, cercano y dispuesto a oir nuestras súplicas y lleno de amor dispuesto a ayudarnos.

Quinceañeras (SP) -- La misa se lleva a cabo en la capilla. Para hacer reservacion de fecha y hora comuníquese con la coordinadora quien le hará las preguntas de rigor, llenará los formularios y coordinará el ensayo junto a padres y la quinceañera para que la ceremonia resulte inolvidable. Los padres tienen la opcion de contar con música de coro con canciones alusivas a los 15 años de su festejada.

RCIA -- The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process designed for adults who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, freely seek the living God, and desire to enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts.

Respect Life – The Respect Life Ministry is dedicated to upholding a culture of life.  The ministry follows the Catholic tradition of prayer, study/education and action, including pastoral care and legislative advocacy.  Respect Life Ministry focuses on life and death issues involving the beginning of life, end of life, capital punishment and legislative action on the parish, diocesan, state and national levels.  The St. Agnes Respect Life Ministry also works with the Collier County Coalition for Life in building a strong coalition to develop public awareness.

Rosario Mariano (SP) -- Todos los viernes rezamos el Rosario en los jardines de la parroquia a las 6:30pm. Por favor, si tiene alguna peticion llámenos con dos dias de anticipacion. Tambien nos encantaria su compañia en esta oracion tan bella. Nuestra Madre Maria estará muy contenta y recibirá bendiciones.

Sacristans – Prepare the church/chapel for the celebration of liturgies, making ready the worship space and all necessary materials, and remain present for the service. 

Sisters in Spirit -- Women's spirituality group.

Sixty Plus Solo Group -- Our ministry is for single men and women (widowed, divorced or never married) to socialize in a safe Christian environment. We attend plays, sporting events, happy hours and spiritual events as a group.

Social Events --

Ushers & Greeters– The Greeters/Ushers make welcome and comfortable anyone who enters St. Agnes.  They distribute church bulletins, seat people, and make sure the collection, presentation of Gifts, and Communion go smoothly.   They work all Sunday and special Masses.

Wedding Coordinator – Provides engaged couples who have met with a priest the planning booklet, offers assistance in planning the wedding ceremony.  The Coordinator or an Assistant guide the rehearsal and offer practical assistance on the wedding day.  The Coordinator may also serve as a Eucharistic Minister.
